The criteria for fair trade certification requires that the producers of products are working under healthy and safe conditions, and are being paid a fair wage for their work. Fair trade empowers disadvantaged people globally by promoting long-term trade relationships that offer opportunities for advancement. Financial and technical assistance are often provided, and environmentally sustainable practices are supported. Fair trade requires transparency and is open to public accountability.

Posh sells a wide variety of Fair Trade certified products which range from organic coffee and tea, to jewelry, baskets, artwork, music, and more. Posh primarily purchases from “A Greater Gift,” a fair trade retail store which is operated by Serrv International, a faith-based, non-profit organization with a goal of helping producers to obtain the tools and training they need in order to become independent. Posh also supports other fair trade affiliates.
